Chance von Criuitz is an adorable 12 month old Shepherd mix. Chance, with the helicopter ears and furrowed brow, is such a munchkin that you will want to hug him when you meet him. He exits his kennel happily, hoping that today is the lucky day for him to go home, and walks well on leash once he relaxes. He reacts to dogs when he feels intimidated and watches his back when other dogs are around. Once Chance meets more nice, friendly dogs, he will learn that not all dogs are out to hurt him. Although Chance is still very much a puppy, he has a nice, calm, mid-energy, making him very easy to handle. Our kennel workers describe him as “sweet, lovable and gentle” and, unlike other puppies, he listens well and stays close to you on walks. Chance beams when you pet him on the head and tell him he is a good boy. He very much likes human affection and his kissable face makes you want to sit and cuddle with him all day. In playgroups, Chance does well with submissive females and dogs who are not pushy with him. He is stiff with males and alpha females, and would benefit from more doggy socialization.
